I am  a visual artist specializing in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media collage with most of my work inspired by nature.  A native of Wahpeton, ND, I received degrees in Elementary Education and Art Education at MSUM in Moorhead. I continue to learn by taking professional workshops, reading books, and practicing.

I spent 31 years teaching young people before becoming a self-employed artist, workshop instructor, and business owner. I work out of my home-based Mourning Dove Studio in Moorhead. In 2020, Beverly, my twin sister, and I created a home-based gallery, Double Trouble Gallery, which is attached to my studio. We are open by appointment only; however, we have a Spring Art Sale and Open House every May and participate in the FMVA Studio Crawl every October.

My method of teaching  self-designed curriculums have been derived from years of experience in working with people of all backgrounds, skill levels, and various learning styles. One of my greatest joys is sharing what I know with those who are willing to learn. I am a member of the Red River Watercolor Society and Fargo-Moorhead Visual Artists (FMVA).
