Artist Anna Lassonde loves creating colorful paintings and illustrations with acrylics and water-based mediums. She is especially inspired by the animals on her small farm, they are her favorite muse. She also enjoys painting portraits, landscapes, murals, and collages. She created her own line of Holiday greeting cards and has also illustrated 2 books for local authors. You can find her in her studio in downtown Detroit Lakes working on commissions or in the community teaching painting classes.
In 2020 Anna created a program called "Art for the Sages" which provides art classes to local senior citizens in the community and assisted living facilities. She is very passionate about sharing the arts and believes that there is an artist inside of everyone.
Anna lives in rural Detroit Lakes, Minnesota with her family and 21 chickens, 2 horses, dog, cat and 4 parrots.
