I am a Pastor/Poet, having been the Senior Pastor at Calvary EFC in Pelican Rapids for 36 years. The seeds of poetry were planted in me during my college years in Northern California. I took several poetry classes from the late Tom Crawford, and then another from Gary Thompson, both world class poets. Then the Lord introduced Himself to me, and poetry was laid aside as I put my full focus on ministry. About ten years ago, the seeds of poetry re-sprouted and I began to write. I eventually began posting a poem every Friday on my Facebook Home Page, a practice I continue to this day. I have since self published three books: "Friday Poems", "There is More", and "Borderland". My poetry is simple, conversational, from a decidedly Christian worldview. I live with my wife, Karen, on Prairie Lake in Pelican Rapids. We have raised five boys and have six grandchildren.
