Artist Carmen Bruhn’s interest in line and color derives from her earlier career as an architect and from the cultural heritage of her native country of Republic of Panama.
Bruhn finds joy in creating art that is imaginative and infused with color in her Detroit Lakes studio. She favors design that is inspired by everyday life but it is color that first fueled her imagination to create.
Her work is found in public collections, namely Sanford New Medical Center, Fargo, ND, West Acres Development, Fargo, ND, Holmes Art Theatre, Detroit Lakes, MN. Bruhn’s paintings have been included in many regional and national exhibitions, winning numerous awards.
