As a self taught artist, Karan works with acrylics, alcohol inks, and mixed media. She has made her focus in the area of abstract art since 2013, has exhibited her artwork in MN., ND., has receive the Career Development grant from LRAC twice and has sold her artwork in MN., ND., CO., and CA.

Karan has successfully done four workshops in alcohol inks, (each class full), one class on fluid acrylics, have been working with students from age 5-16 for 5 years, currently teaching 6 girls ranging in ages 9-16 two times a month for one and half years. These classes have focused on various techniques in creating abstract art, using different mediums helping them to learn that creating art is not just painting or drawing but the way the mediums are used in conjunction with one another to create the art.
I do not teach the history of art nor the many artist's who came before us, although through the process different artist's techniques may be used as an example.
